Marshawn Lynch among first to be tested for HGH, due to Skittles
As the NFL begins testing for Human Growth Hormones (HGH) this week, players will be tested much like their Major League Baseball (MLB) and Olympic counterparts. First offence for any NFL player caught utilizing the performance enhancing drugs is a four game suspension.
It is rumored that the NFL is curious about Seattle Seahawks’ running back Marshawn Lynch and his Skittles, which gives him a “beast mode” boost. Rumor has it that Lynch will be among the first NFL players to be tested for HGH with the suspicious enhancement that he apparently receives following eating Skittles.
Entering Monday Night Football, rumors are swirling, as the Seahawks are in Washington ready to play guests to the Redskins at FedEx Field. If rumors are true and any of the Seahawks or Redskins are tested Monday and found to have any traces of HGH, without pre-approval, they will be immediately suspended without chance for appeal.
This sent Lynch fantasy football owners scrambling before this weeks’ games began whether to take the chance or choose a different option. Regardless, Lynch is preparing for the Redskins, “It don’t matter to me if I get tested or not, I know I’m clean and that is all that matters,” said Lynch in an interview on Sunday at the team’s walk through.
“This is going to be good for the game, I think Mr. Goddell is trying to make the safety most fair game for the NFL and it’s players,” explained Eric Winston, NFL Players Association (NFLPA) president.
In other news, Mars, distributor of Skittles, has signed as a new sponsor of the NFLPA.
