Last week, I did a reading for myself about how to deal with embarrassment. This morning, I did another reading related to my self-esteem and I got this pair of cards again.
I had never emphasized any symbolism about the white cloak on the "Blossoming" card until that time last week. To see it contrasted with the black cloak was very relevant to me.
The black cloak, "Concealment" is definitely about hiding, and when I'm embarrassed I want to hide or take up less space. It's like an energy that contracts. Restrictive.
The bright white cloak stands out. The natural process of a flower blossoming is unrestricted, expansive.
Living in creative, passionate, life force energy expressing itself into the world is the opposite flow of energy from embarrassment. An active, initiative force, focused on the purity of being the authentic self. The "black cloak" is the more passive force, but also resistant; resisting the pure self.
