“Go Deep or Go Home.”~Laurie Frazier If I’m going to be in an intimate relationship, it’s going to be one of depth. I’m here to suck the marrow out of life, to plunge the depths, to push the boundaries of my own comfort, to be raw and exposed, to be turned inside out. If it’s not that, I’m not interested. Sound scary? What if you expose that much of yourSelf and you’re rejected? Oh, well. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If you have yet to have your heart ripped to shreds, you’re not really living. What I have found matters most in my foray into massive vulnerability, is that ((( I ))) show up—because I have a commitment to mySelf to do so. If that depth is not matched on the other side, or if the emotions are not returned, matters not. I showed up for me, baring all. If I’m rejected, I never have to wonder what would have happened had I shared my true feelings! When you play small, share only a portion of yourself, or worse, pretend to be someone you’re not or who you think the other wants you to be, then you will always be wondering. And if your love is returned when you are not being authentic, who are they really falling for—you or some lie and made up version? And ewww…aren’t you tired of that? Just show up as your glorious Self, you won’t be everybody’s cup of tea—I’m certainly not. Have discernment, be authentic, don’t cast your pearls, so they say. Share your heart, not your stories. Go to the edge, venture through the zones of annihilation, for it is in this space that we truly live, feel alive, and learn who we truly are. When someone embraces you on this playground, there is nothing better. I’m playing full out. I greet the world heart first. I love who I am more and more every time I choose me and my own commitment to being vulnerable, exposing my authentic Self and sharing my big, shine-y heart.
