I wanna watch sapphic cowgirls so bad!!! Watching maggie and callie from godless just made me want to watch a western with queer women so fucking bad!!! How dare that show give me like 5 seconds of them..

Godless was a good show that could’ve been a great one. 

Some scenes gave me chills - like the flashback in episode 6, when the women of La Belle sent their husbands off to the mines, and we’re finally given a glimpse of what things were like before. We never get to see the mine’s actual collapse, but as the husbands enter, their wives left at the entrance, our imagination can surely fill in the rest. That powerful image is how we end the episode. Great storytelling!

There was also a lot of wasted potential, though. For a show that promoted itself as a “no man’s land”, most of the plot still revolved around men. I wished there’d been more character interactions between some of the women. I wanted to know about Mary Agnes and Charlotte’s relationship and how this had changed because of the mine collapse, I wanted Mary Agnes and Alice to interact more - aren’t they essentially both women trying to protect their homes, used to being underestimated by men who want to take control of the things they hold dear? I wanted Iyovi to be more than just a "magical Native American trope”. I wanted more of the women’s suffering, the women’s transformations. I wanted how Callie got out of prostitution and became a teacher. Or how her and Mary Agnes first got together.

I'm sorry but every time Michelle Dockery comes onscreen in Godless I stop being able to breathe and I need to pause and take a moment to remember that a goddess walks amongst us

Watched godless. I thought it was mostly about the town that's ran by women but got disappointed when curtain 30 evil men just kept showing up. I don't like violence against women and i should've expected it seeing that this is a western show..

Anyways it was good. I didn't get bored. I liked the characters. I always love seeing badass women. I honestly wasn't expecting sapphic cowgirls in this show but I'm glad i got it! Good for mary-agnes and ms dunne!!

I wanted the report dead. Mary-agnes should've killed his ass!!

Mary-agnes is played by the actress who played Elizabeth from new girl so it was awesome seeing her in a role like this. It was funny realizing that main bad guy looks familiar because he was in dumb and dumber lol.. also Charlotte temple looked so familiar to me and i think it's because she kinda reminds me of Jennifer beals..

Yeah it was okay... It wasn't bad. I just hoped the story focused a little more on the women so i can care a little more about them but i guess that's what happens when you watch a mini series, not alot of time for you to care about the characters.

Also whiteys death is fucking stupid.. i wasn't sad or anything i just thought it was stupid..

Godless would've been so much more fun and interesting if the story was actually just about a town mostly ran by women in the 1800s. instead the story we got feels like something we've seen before.. honestly the show is a big wasted opportunity..
