Fault Lines. New series now on my website.

'Fault Lines' is a response to the uneasy feeling around Christchurch since the 2010 / 2011 / 2016 earthquakes. There is always the lingering memory of the ground shaking and giving way. The empty city centre, the lost houses, vacant plots of land, the bureaucracy and red tape preventing the quick resolutions required. The double exposures seem peaceful and disconnected from reality but add to the sense of apprehension with the coastline and seascapes juxtaposed with overlapping images of the red zone. These areas are all the more connected since the latest earthquake in January 2016 took sections of the cliffs into the sea.
