He withdrew a snake-shaped hair pin from his pocket, placing it on her desk. He knew how restrictive Talon could be, and beautiful things were so few and far apart. He lingered for a minute, before turning his back.

Her fingers pause, hovering over the keyboard of her computer as she looked up at Emre, blinking a couple of times. a gift? for her? she doesn't think anyone has ever done something so nice for her before. She shifted in her seat a little, reaching out to pick up the hair pin before turning it over in her hands a few times, admiring it with a smile on her dark lips. "oh Emre.. it's beautiful, thank you.." she wastes no time, slipping the pin into her hair and pinning it in place.

After that was done, she gets up from her seat and pushes it in before approaching the man. she reaches out, hand hovering close as she hesitates for a moment before gently placing her hand on his arm, applying just enough pressure as if to silently say 'don't go yet'. "you look exhausted. sit down on my couch for a bit, i doubt they'll notice you're missing for a few minutes."

"I have a box of swiss chocolates and some fancy coffee in it for you if you sign off on the report." Bribery at it's finest to escape the medbay. ( @godmarkd )

angela looks incredulous; it's hard to tell how much of it is genuine and how much of it is her playing into the bit. emre can't even stand, much less leave - besides, he most definitely does not have a box of swiss chocolates conveniently in his inventory.

"mr. sarıoğlu," she puts a hand to her chest, fingers delicately ghosting along the labels of her lab coat, "you wouldn't be suggesting i commit... medical negligence, would you?"

it takes everything in her not to crack a smile, though she's sure that the pain meds are keeping emre's mind more than occupied. still, she busies herself with adjusting the iv at the side of his bed, and she considers that maybe he needs a higher dose.

"ja, i couldn't do that to my favorite patient."

Emre's fingers curl into the back of Cole's collar the way a hawk's talons might find some unsuspecting prey. It's Abrupt and Precise, and Cole can feel his shirt creak at the stitchings as it yanks taut. He snaps a vice grip over the trunk of that wrist that's got that trimmer buzzing the sound of a lawnmower, strains distance between its vibrating, metal teeth and his head.

"Whoa, now," The word rolls on a swell, the sort you hound a green colt with, "Nuh-uh. You back off with that thing, Emre Sarioglu, or we're gonna have problems."

Cole chuffs, head duckin' down as he sways his weight from one leg to the next. His arms criss-cross from an akimbo over the chest as he eye-balls the monolith — some hulk of a slab emanating an electric, incadescent buzz. Just looking at it feels like it'll do something strange and unwanted to the organs.

"Might be one of the more normal things around," He drawls, "Reckon, with the talking monkey from space and a time travelling pilot."

" There's no point in freaking out about it everyday, i'd get nothing done and more than likely, i'll get in trouble for it. " she places a test tube back in it's place among the others before wandering over to one of the three enclosures in her lab. she slid open the glass door and reached in slowly, petting the king cobra that rested curled up inside.

" I've told myself that; as long as i do my job, everything will be alright. but what about you? are you doing okay? "

Cole barks a grunt and the noise percussions off the back of his throat. His palms slick flat on foam sparring mats as he folds the balls of his feet beneath him and stands, momentum careening sweat off his brow into a free-fall splatter that audibly drip-drops to the floor.

"Don't sound so amused, Sarioglu," He grins crookedly, lips setting in that habitual way of his with one end always hinged higher than the other. He levers his arms up, fists levelling at the ready in front of him. His knuckles burst a ridged sightline from his leering gaze, amber-hazels pinning the other's bronze with a challenge, "Gotta try harder than that if you're fixing to get me to give up."
