God I had practically forgotten alloro people existed. 'Nothing to ship' as a reason not to watch/listen to something would've never crossed my mind. I (aro) didn't listen to SC for the longest time BECAUSE OF the romance. Between the fact that the description talks about knights falling in love and most of the fandom's lizard-kissing art - I assumed it was way more romance-orientated than it actually is

I’m SO glad they went with the Queer romance as opposed to like, a Aggressively Heterosexual one (yay) [in Juno whoops], but yea I think part of the reason I love the Second Citadel so much is because it explores a lot of things that have NOTHING at all to do with romance, and so interest and affect me a lot more.

side note for anyone considering getting into the Penumbra the second citadel storyline does orbit around a few romances but it doesn’t like. obsess over them if that makes sense. the story doesn’t break because of them and my aro ass loves it so much so take that as you will
