trying to inform my friend whos thinking about identifying as pan instead of bi as to why pan is biphobic and transphobic but i dont think theyre believing me lmfao. i asked him what he thought the difference was and he said the same old "bi means 2 genders pan means all" and when i broke that down he sent me the "definitions" which were basically "bi means attracted to your own gender and other genders pan means attracted to all genders" and like... that's the same thing just worded differently

pan was created as a transphobic and biphobic label and now they're just scrambling to come up with an actual definition for it that isn't offensive and all they've managed to do is butcher the meaning of bisexual

Listen, idk what makes you think I would be a great person to ask on how to speak to your crush. I have a crush on a relief veterinarian that occasionally comes to my clinic and let me tell you, I don't know how to speak to her. She stands too close and all I smell is her perfume and it's like every normal function I have suddenly goes away. She touched my hand yesterday while I was holding a dog and I thought I was going to pass out. Gay panic never goes away. I also almost stabbed myself with a needle, drawing up a vaccine when she stood too close to me, because again, my senses were overran by her. She looks at me too long or smiles at me, I feel like my heart is going to implode. I can barely form a proper sentence to communicate with her doing my job. It's a work hazard if you ask me, but somehow I get paired up with her every time she's in.

Flirting through texting or messaging is way easier, cause they're not in front of you. Gives you a little more confidence and it's easier to get to know someone. When you're in person though, just talk to them normal. Ask how they are, what they've been up to, etc. Now, if you've already connected and they flirt with you already, game on. Call them darling, beautiful.. throw in a "my girl" and test the waters. FLOWERS. Buy them flowers. I had a crush on this bar tender one time and I had her coworker give her my number (I wrote it on a napkin, too shy to ask her out myself) anyways, she texted me and the next day I showed up to the bar during her mid day shift with a bouquet of flowers and a card asking her to dinner. She said yes.

Sometimes you just gotta make a fool of yourself. If they can't accept your shy, awkward, weird ways then they're not a crush worth having.
