What? You've been waiting for a new Godzilla game for a console?
Great Egg Heist Godzilla (1994)
This is a really cool game from Bandai. You turn the handle to make your adventurer sneak up on Godzilla and scoop up an egg. You run back with the egg, and whoever collects the most eggs wins.
The catch is that meanwhile, Godzilla is turning (there are 3 speed settings) and blowing radiation (air) at you. If he knocks you down, you need to run back home to go upright again. Check out the video above to see this in action!
Cute
In the awful Japanese-only, Gameboy game King of the Monsters, Godzillla
Varan vomits bombs
Guess he’s binging and purging now
(He also breathes fireballs diagonally in this game as opposed to the bombs that fall straight down, but everyone shoots fireballs in this game.)
New episode of Countdown!
Today, we’re taking a look at my ten favorite Godzilla video games in a very late E3-inspired video.
Assorted early model render concept art from Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee depicting Godzilla 2000 in a battle with Mechagodzilla 2.
The “triple laser” has never been accurately portrayed in a videogame
We get the wrong color
And in The Pipesworks games and the Godzilla PS4 game drop “the triple” aspect, being just a recolored Ghidorah bolt, purple or blue
This is, I’m pretty sure, due to Mecha King Ghidorah almost never being planned for at the start and game engine built with them in mind.
Having two heads with one beam weapon and central head with another? That could be difficult.
On a side note...this “laser” name feels weird. I thought lasers were straight?
