Don’t know if this has already been asked, but what about something along the lines of Player/Angel being a new character in the show that’s more of the token human that shows up. Getting the attention of resident best boy Dogday and whatnot?
[A/n: I hope you like this. Also I'm sorry that it's a bit short]

Food first
Standing up you stretch your arms above your head. A sigh leaves you as your back pops. Removing the headphones you rub at your throat as you meander out of the soundbooth.
Checking your watch you take note that you’re been recording for the past three hours. With that amount of time you have most certainly earned a break.
“Howdy there honorary Smiling critter.” You couldn’t stop the smile that spread across your face. DogDay was waiting for you outside of the booth. Since you started here at Playtime he’s been a delightful presence wherever you went. He really made your transition into the Smiling Critter show much easier.
“Hey there Day, I hope you weren’t waiting too long.” You asked a bit worried. It was so sweet of him to come see you but you didn’t want to waste his time.
“Nope, I just got here.” His voice was chipper as he fell in step beside you. “Actually I have a question for ya.” DogDay fiddled with the sun pendant that hung from his neck. You’ve noticed he did that when he was nervous.
“Oh?” Your head tilted to the side, curious. Out of the corner of your eye you saw his tail twitch.
“Well I was wonderin if maybe you wanted to go over lines with me for the next episode.” Even though it was faint you could see a hint of red tinting his cheeks. His demeanor becoming almost bashful
“I would like that.” You saw his ears perk up.
“Really?” He was practically vibrating with joy. You couldn’t help the small laugh that left you. He was just too cute when he was happy.
“Yes, really. Though before that would you like to grab something to eat with me?” He nodded vigorously.
“Of course! I would love to.” DogDay was beaming down at you and you couldn’t help but return his enthusiasm. You listened as he listed off what the cafeteria was serving today. It wasn’t the most enticing food but that was okay. You were just happy to be eating with him. And who knows maybe you would be able to do this more often.
