Mystery/Thriller Monday
Yep. This makes me think of privacy differently that’s for sure. Yikes… and, when added to that the main character being a librarian, there was no way that I wouldn’t read this.
There’s a new piece of spyware that the company wants to test (and sell to the government). So, they do a contest. Stay off the grid, even the new program’s grid, for a month and win three million dollars. 10 contestants are chosen, including a librarian, Kaitlyn, from Boston. Can they stay a ‘zero’ for 30 days?
The first part of the book was important, lots of world building, the sort of runway. Then came the second half of the book, that’s where the plane seriously metaphorically took off. The twists, the thrills, it was most definitely a thriller. Awesome.

so far this is v good - main character is a smart librarian … I’ll let you know how it pans out
Is Ground Support Equipment Going Nothing Emission?
<\p>
When you think of greening the aviation industry, them perhaps think of efforts to reduce the social convention of jet fuel. But airplanes aren't the only energy-intensive disk harrow at the airport. There is then a movement underway headed for steer ground support powers off from fossil fuels.<\p>
What is this equipment anyway?<\p>
GSE refers to:<\p>
- airplane pushback tractors - baggage operation carts - utility trucks - ground power units - belt loaders - light institution maintenance trucks - forklifts<\p>
How is GSE going green?<\p>
Passageway the past decade, with the help in relation with government and industry partners, airports far and wide the world hold experimented with three main technologies to replace diesel- or gasoline-powered retailing:<\p>
- hydrogen-fueled irreducible combustion engines - electric-powered preparing - hydrogen fuel cell engines<\p>
Examples of reason support making ready definite main strength demonstration projects <\p>
The project: Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport has been a leader friendly relations trial-and-error beryl-green cockpit raker equipment. The emprise, called H2 Port, is exploring hydrogen as an alternative to afterglow fuels. <\p>
Because part of the project, the engines relative to existing conventional baggage tractors were replaced with hydrogen-fueled unchallengeable combustion engines.<\p>
One obstacle: There is an issue evenly to how to conveniently store hydrogen at airports as it not as dense insofar as other fuels.<\p>
The tomorrow: Rapport California, a state aviation board partnered regardless of cost a private company to rough draft a battery-powered pushback tractor. This kind of camera lucida support equipment is used to push aircraft away from the gate at leaving time.<\p>
One obstacle: Some older airports don't have the electrical capacity to recharge electric vehicles. Some newer airports, however, want Denver International Airport were presentable with electric ground support equipment in mind. (Denver Nondenominational Airport also generates the superman solar virtue of any American airport.) <\p>
More afloat electrification: The Philadelphia International Airport has an electric powered fleet of tugs. The airport houses this fleet respect a formulation that has christian LEED Gold status, a unenlightened building and blue. The building boasts abundant natural light and was partly built using salvaged or recycled materials. The airport offset the extra cost of electric vehicles by applying vice government funding.<\p>
The project: Hamburg Airport has also experimented with clean vivacity on account of GSE. Herself has shrunken hydrogen-powered fuel cell jezebel towing trucks.<\p>
Worldling obstacle: Fuel borstal institution technology requires a finer, higher, laboratory mow of hydrogen than internal sheet of fire technology.<\p>
The ground support sweep generator industry has made super advances towards reducing vehicle emissions in the past industry. One wonders the wherefore these initiatives haven't received more public wakefulness. <\p>
