Our last evening in this beautiful place and it’s been quite a ride! The loud people weren’t kicked out until late this afternoon so our day and night were backed by constant bass, gross lyrics, never have I ever yelled into a karaoke mic, and lots more inappropriate behavior. I know I sound like a total prude, but believe me I’m not. I just believe that when you’re camping you stay respectful of the space you’re in and not torture others with your music and/or microphone. I came to nature to be in nature. Not hear you sing/yell “my neck, my back” into a microphone at midnight. Crazy, right?! I have parties too, but in my house with my friends where you can’t hear our music or what we talk about 😂 Anyway. Totally on the camping etiquette train after this experience! It’s so important to be respectful of others, especially when you’re in close proximity to them. We have also encountered many kind adults and kiddos who love on the dogs. And that’s been lovely! We actually debated whether to ever camp again. And I think we will, but we will be super careful next time to find a ranger and make proper arrangements just in case. We love camping itself. It can be such a good way to unwind if everyone is being respectful 🏕 (I’m not 80 years old...I’m 32. I swear.) #outhereontheprairie #camping #goingcamping #campetiquette #campingetiquettefail #lakemetigoshestatepark (at Lake Metigoshe State Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CEdFF3DA7ox/?igshid=qvsblctgdjit
