An amateur archaeologist just found Canada's oldest coin of English descent off the country's east coast—igniting other old questions.

The thing they don't say about this find is that it could well be Vikings, given how wide-ranging they were, and based on other finds in Scandinavian excavations of foreign coins (Arabic, etc.) in Viking graves. Or so I think. Not an expert by any means.
