Dawn to Dusk

Behold, yearning lesbians. Elizabeth on the left and Kendria on the right. The secretary bird bean sí and the quagga unicorn, the Mistress and her guard. Kendria turns to Eliza like a flower to the sun and never strays far from her.

The pieces were a bit complicated due to me forgetting how fineliner & the waxy residue of coloured pencils (in this case watercolour pencils) do not mix. So I want you to know & understand that the final lineart layer was done not with fineliner but with an inkbottle & very fine brush. Yes. all that hair. Have a step by step..

I have realized since then that i can do my fancy linework after colours and then add depth with coloured pencils afterwards btw. Though I understand why back then this did not occur to me bc my process was always sketch - soft linework - colour step/s (depending on if mixed media some media has to go before others like copics first then ink colours) - dynamic linework - white highlights. But yeah no, figured out how to work the watercolour pencils in without dulling the black lineart or getting smears since then.

Movement V

Movement V - Vangelis • El Greco My sona Mushanga.

I opted for a simpler face-style for him, because it is more comfy to draw haha (in my reg style I do draw turtles with beaks and different kind of shells; more like body armor plates with leathery thick skin between for maximum movement and flexibility, 's just how I headcanon turtles in my stories)

But anyway for Mushange I played around a bit, opted for a simple face and went ham on the shell. I already had this concept in mind of putting glass or rather, inkwells on their back but I was not 100% sold on the idea, yet. And then I went on vacation to Venice last week and visited Murano there and can you tell I saw a lot of Murano glass and got inspired by all that glass and colours????? Anyway so yahhhh Mushangas scutes are made up of thick glass filled with inks. He paints with those. They sometimes change in colours depending on were his art takes him, default's turquoises, greens and blues in the middle as those are his fav colours to work with and the smaller ones on the side hold all the reds, oranges, yellows, violets and pinks. (and sometimes you will only find black and gold and silver and copper in there)

I have blue hair on one side of my head (other side is shaved) so blue headscarf it is for Mushanga. I will probably upload art with him on my main more often than not mainly because there is were the furry audience resides and keep this account fanwork related. I just figured I show Mushanga here at least once so you know what face to associate me with in the future XD (notice the changed icon)

Blooma -- Personal

So, I managed to try and draw something for the first time in ... Months.  My hand is aching, and even though this was supposed to just be a warm up, I've realized that ceasing commissions was a good idea.  I'm gonna try to draw more this week though! No more dragging my feet, gonna work on owed work and everything, so bare with me please as I take a little bit longer to get used to everything. Posted using PostyBirb

More personal art time! I had an assignment at my course to do an age chart for a character, so I went with an OC of mine named Sarah Slipstream, necromancer extraordinaire.

Sarah was always a bit unhinged. The lamp never made her evil, it just brought out an opportunity to do horrible things with no repercussion. But that didn’t really bring happiness either...

That invite goes to her female bodyguard and her only btw. Wouldn't recommend approaching this one either, she's a Bean Sí (with an exceptional work-life-balance) and one does not wanna mess with the síde. Anyway that was the first time I drew Elizabeth and handdrawing the lil background decoration was a bitch and a half XD Did the initial drawing on separate paper and then threw that on a light table beneath the main image to repeat it. I do miss working with Eliza and the rest of the InBetween characters sometimes but that story along with my other oldies is on hiatus for now. It's like, I love these stories a lot you know? But I also recognize those all are deeply tied to different moments of my life and the last time I worked with for example the InBetween story I was a different person. Lot has happened. I might swing back around at some point but for now my focus is on my current projects (Raptamei, Lay your Hands on me) and that is okay. Inspiration comes and goes.
