I have many a jsab au, one is mostly just my interpretation but more of a mix with fannon!
I have a stupid ‘human’ au where I place these little test dummies into a fantasy setting where they’re not themselves and imagine the wacky hijinks they’d get into.
The only one I’ve shared art of (besides my fannon) is an au where the heroes (Cyan) looses. An au where Blixer wins (and is a terrible person) - and where nearly all of the friends get corrupted, besides Boat. It is where my main evil Cube being salty, and their development throughout being corrupted comes from. Cube shares nothing but resentment for everyone in this au, Barracuda being dead leaves Lycanthropy with their domain, and in all each boss holds their own domain. Blixer of course being the tower, Cube being forced with the architect of all, the factory. And Lycan being forced with basically the land and the seas beyond.
The FANNON, is much more developed, although it’d be difficult to share it all. I’ll begin with the early days. Before the game I imagine each color in its own faction, the universe being controlled by the triangles, nearly acting as gods. Pink was not a color that widely existed, but every other color of the simple rainbow did. Including “blue” more specifically a lighter blue: the pacifists. Now, the pacifists were almost a cult, extremely dedicated to something inhuman, don’t hurt anyone, don’t hurt anything, don’t disturb nature at all. Nearly act as though you don’t exist. All of the pacifists were light as a feather, rather tall yet skinny, and then you have Cube who is Cube. I imagine them as meant to be the guardian for the pacifists, as the pacifists were very easily taken advantage of being disallowed to actually not let ‘nature take it’s course’, Blixer as a child was widely known to actually steal from them very often, they grew up in the caves along with most spiders, there it’s quite survival of the fittest. - Cube was not seen as a guardian for them however, rather as some sort of curse. Rather than protect them it reaffirmed their cult like beliefs, and what they had done is force Cube at times to sit and do nothing.
One of my favorite parts about this childhood however, is that Blixer and Cube actually somewhat share a bond during this time. It quickly gets shattered, but they’re both mostly ‘outcasts’. Blixer actually gets a bit concerned after seeing Cube sit and do nothing for multiple days straight, and starts to actually talk sense into them by questioning wtf they’re doing. Although Cube still holds fear of messing up, hurting things, Blixer begins forcing them to. Basically dragging Cube along to be their captive audience for whatever shenanigans they want to do. In a way they became friends by it, Blixer was a child, and wanted someone to befriend, so they’d view Cube as one. And Cube, also a child, had fun!
But good things don’t last forever, as an attempt to destroy the triangles was made, and it seemed to have worked. Pretty quickly the world began to collapse beneath them, the pacifists would stay accepting it all, it is their fate. Cube however got too scared, ran to the caves, and luckily was one of the few to survive. Blixer got scared too in the time being, although that cave seemed to be safe there was clear showcase of something wrong, and in that time they found something - one of the triangles had actually ended up in the caves. Blixer, being scared, decided to basically stay with that triangle, stay with it until they corrupted themselves with it unintentionally and quickly became reliant on it. Cube, got pretty quickly trapped by the spiders after going deeper and deeper within the cave systems. Cyan is born there to try to fix the whole triangle situation at hand, a direct child from the triangles themselves, almost a demi-god. That’s where Cube and Cyan first meet.
I think you may see where this is going.
The game happens, blah blah, and the aftermath is entirely fannon. For a long while Blixer wasn’t even reintroduced, but eventually they rehabilitated them, they were corrupted for so long it actually permanently kept them pink :)c [they were purple before] - Cube hates them, but eventually is able to warm up to them again, although that takes a long long while. They’d probably fight some. Cube has PTSD from the whole events of the game unfortunately.
AND Gold/Yellow, Green, and Orange were born after the games events in this fannon, Gold being born right after and Green and Orange being born years after as twins.
The heroes are a slight hivemind, able to basically feel each others thoughts, at time enough to communicate, but they all have their own very distinct personality :)
