Goldie is my sweetest boy, and it looks like one of the girls is settling down with him. It actually looks like they're trying to lay eggs on one of my plants, which is disturbing because they're siblings, and neither of them are full grown (the female is still so small!) and also LORD HELP ME if they managed to produce young in my overcrowded tank.
But. Also. I'm glad my sweet boy is the one who landed a girlfriend. 😆
Band Camp Day 3
I just returned from buying a matching outfit with a new friend for twin day tomorrow. As we both talked, laughed, and we’re surprised by just how much we have in common, our muscles made a simple walk through WalMart very taxing. My thighs are killing me from all the squatting, my feet are soggy and blistered from the rainstorm, and I am mentally dragging just a bit through the long afternoons. However-positivity has been my strength. No matter how hard things get I remember that I have done this before, and I will figure everything out eventually, no matter how challenging it is now. I’m pushing through. I’m fighting back. Let’s do it day 4!
Band Camp Day 2
It was a little harder to keep a positive attitude today, since I was nervous about the rifle line expectations, and it also felt like it was a million degrees outside, but I feel like I accomplished a lot. I'm not perfect, but my flag work improved from yesterday. I am proud of all that I accomplished today, mistakes and all. 3 and a half days to go. Bring it on day 3! 😝
Here's the first look at our field show, "Impressions of Japan".
This video is not mine.
I know that I'm not alone in saying that I was one of those seniors in high school applying to West Chester for the marching band, or more specifically, because I wanted to be in of the color guard. But it means so much finding high school kids so excited to come here after seeing us perform because I know we, as a group, are doing something so right. I also love hearing from people that even though they have been going to West Chester for years, they want this experience, to be in this band/color guard and THAT is an amazing feeling. They may have never marched or spun, but something we did inspired them to want to practice for hours to be just like us. Sorry just having a proud moment. RAMS.
We have a homeless guy who sleeps on the couch of the Student Union at my school...
Pines of the Appian Way! Closer for ram band <3
