I did a thing. For our dogs (dog 🙁). I mean, I've kinda sorta done the same thing before, but never before using #goldenpaste 🐕 . . I prepared a batch of the healthy golden goo according to Doug English @turmericlifeworldwide recipe then rinsed, patted dry, sliced, and tossed and rubbed and marinaded 3 beef livers with all the GP goodness before placing in our dehydrator for 8hrs @ 118F; flipping each piece and further dehydrating at the same temp an additional 4hrs. . . I suppose I should have inquired thru the FB group whether or not this is a viable medicinal use for the GP before proceeding 🤔 Each treat should have roughly 1/4 tsp. of the paste 'baked' into it (I think. Look who enjoys @traderjoes #tumeric #carrotjuice! 🥕 🥤 #gladsomeonedoes 😬 Managing Odie’s symptoms is all I can do. #goldenpaste is a big anti inflammatory (turmeric) which helps to #calm his lymph nodes. He’s currently getting hydrocortisone pills instead of prednisone since his life is unbearable on prednisone. I had learned about this steroid alternative through a client who got it for her cat. My original thought was the Five might be able to use it for his chronic #uri. A week later Odie was diagnosed with #lymphoma and my vet immediately prescribed prednisone. After 1 pill he was a wreck. He never stopped moving and was miserable. I asked her about hydrocortisone pills and she didn’t know anything about them but took the information, did some research and called in the rx. Odie has had no side effects with this protocol. So many treatments look good on paper but are impossible to live with. Quality of life is what I’m interested in and I’m so happy to have a vet who listened to me and answers my questions without making me feel foolish or pressuring me into spending money as an imagined cure. If you’re not sure of a treatment or protocol and are curious how things work, never feel bad asking questions.
