Can I be honest. I'm really glad everyone else is mad about discords "new" ID verification stuff they're trying to roll out, but I can't actually engage in the conversation without getting really upset that people only care about it now that it's affecting them.
Here in the UK + Australia it's already been out and it's already made engaging with communities worse. But, no one cared because it wasn't applicable to them. Now it's coming globally and everyone is up in arms about it? We tried to TELL you this would happen!!
The kicker is, if everyone fights back against it and cancels their nitro or stops using the platform in protest? Great! But it's not gonna change here for the UK and Australia, this is forever for us [Unless the UK stops pushing all these laws which... It's looking bleak.] and so i really just feel so defeated about it.
