Manage Your Calories with Yummy Diet & Goldpress Juicing
Being a food blogger definitely makes it much more difficult for me to keep my weight. We all have our desired weight goals and fitness plans but no matter what diet or exercise we do, we just can’t seem to hit that target. People who are always busy and on the go have things harder because they often buy food from restaurants, fast food chains, or convenience stores where your health and fitness are not their top priorities. Thankfully, there is a diet plan that will help you achieve your weight goals while at the same time providing yummy and convenient meals that you can bring along with you anywhere.
Yummy Diet is one of the biggest diet delivery services in the Philippines. I had been hearing about these popular diet meal plans that were low on the calories but still high on the taste factor. Since I had been gaining weight lately because of my numerous food adventures, I needed to find a way to survive going on a diet while satisfying my constant hunger pangs. They call me The Hungry Kat for a reason. So I took advantage of Yummy Diet’s 5-day low carb high protein plan to see whether I can actually lose weight while enjoying healthy and delicious food.
Yummy Diet offer various types of 5-day meal plans such as Low Calorie (1200 calories a day - P1900), Low Carb-High Protein (1500 & 1800 calories a day - P2500) and meals with cold-pressed juice replacement from Goldpress Juicing (1200-1500 calories a day - P3500). The diet meals are to be strictly taken from Mondays to Fridays, typically workdays, while you are free to have your own meals during the weekends. The longer you subscribe to their diet plan, the cheaper the weekly prices get.
As for myself, I chose their 1,500-calorie Low-Carb-High Protein plan which should help me lose 1-2 pounds a week. That might not seem that great but if you strictly follow the diet plan, you should lose around 6 pounds a month. Yummy Diet meals are delivered straight to your home five times a week from Sunday to Thursday, one day before their actual consumption date. Each delivery contains everything you need to eat for the day from breakfast to dinner and everything in between. Coffee and tea packs are also included to replace your unhealthy iced teas and sodas.
Included with each delivery is a schedule indicating the suggested time and item you should eat for the entire day. Each dish is placed in a convenient microwavable container with instructions on how to prepare it for your meal. My first breakfast consisted of this Mango Peach Wrap which does not look like diet food at all! This is one omelette dish that I would gladly eat any day. The Waikiki Beach Chicken was also a nice lunch meal.
Yummy Diet Day 2 consisted of Sunny Ham and Egg for breakfast, Catalan Chicken Ragout for lunch, and Teriyaki Tofu Kabobs for dinner. In between are several fruits and items for your snacks. The portions are definitely lighter than my usual meals but having several small meals throughout the day makes it easier to survive my cravings.
What’s good about Yummy Diet is that you do not have to think about what meals you have to prepare each day to keep you on your diet goals. They do all the planning and calorie-counting for you and the only thing you need is to follow their schedules. It is also easy to bring your meals to the office since these can be easily placed in the fridge or microwave.
Yummy Diet Day 3 was quite surprising with a very yummy-looking lunch and dinner waiting for me.
I really liked the Pan Seared Fish with Basil for lunch and the Roasted Beef with Shitake Mushrooms for dinner. These were both very tasty and flavorful, far from the usual diet food that we see. While I may not like all of the day’s dishes, like the greens and fruits, these two totally made up for it.
There was Pork Menudo for lunch on Yummy Diet Day 4.
Hard-boiled Egg and Mixed Green Salad for breakfast, Mangga’t Bagoong, and Baked Green Apple with Cinnamon sugar for snacks on Yummy Diet Day 4.
My last day for Yummy Diet had me eating Bacon Wrapped Asparagus with Baked Eggs for breakfast. Imagine having bacon on a diet day? That’s what Yummy Diet can give you.
Low Sodium Fish in Tausi Sauce was my lunch with Broccoli and Crabmeat Salad while Maltese Baked Tuna was my dinner. I have to admit that of course, the Yummy Diet meals may not be as mouth-watering than the usual fatty, oily, meaty dishes we normally have, but if you are determined to go on a diet and lose weight, Yummy Diet’s 5-day plans are the way to go.
Another option that you have is to go on a juice diet with Goldpress Juicing Company. While juicing is a more difficult way to lose weight, some people actually prefer it because it also detoxifies the body. Juices are easier for the body to absorb and it can also boost your immune system and remove toxins from your body. Other benefits of juicing are increased energy, reduced cravings for processed food and sweets, fewer wrinkles and age spots, and optimal digestive function. Each one-day pack contains 7 bottles of Goldpress juices depending on your desired cleansing level (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and are delivered one day before their consumption date.
Goldpress Juicing is the only premium juice delivery service in Metro Manila. I took the Silver Juice set which consists of 7 bottles of juice to be taken at 2-3 hour intervals throughout the day. These are to be my only meals for the day! A 1-day plan costs P1699 while a 5-day plan costs P1499 per day. I only tried this for one day just to detoxify my body and help me boost my immune system. Some of the juices are quite fruity and delicious, while some taste like vegetables which are not as fun. You will definitely feel hungry but the health benefits associated with juicing are worth it.
Diet delivery plans and juicing diets may not be for everybody, but for those who want an alternative way of achieving your weight goals, you should give Yummy Diet and Goldpress Juicing a try. Let the experts help you with your fitness programs and leave the cooking and calorie counting to them. The only thing you have to do is to eat and drink.
