I Asked, God Answered

I love the ways God chooses to send me messages. Today’s message came in the form of an email from Ghirelli Rosaries. 😊

Now is the time to deepen your faith ... not doubt it.

Prayer is needed now more than ever – for the innocent, for the clergy, and for the faithful followers of Our Lord.

Now is not the time to abandon or doubt your faith – but to strengthen it. There have been many times throughout the Church’s history when things were as bad, or worse, than they are now. In fact, scandal has been with the Church from the very beginning – starting with Judas’ betrayal of Jesus.

But rest assured, at the times when the Church hits its low points God raises up wonderful saints – like Saint Francis de Sales – in order to bring the Church back to its real mission: to know, to love, and to serve God.

During this difficult time prayer is needed more than ever. So, pick up your rosary daily and pray for healing, strength and wisdom.

So what I interpret from this faith-affirming message is this: We, the laity, need to be the agents of change in the Church. It all starts with one voice, and I’m prepared to cry out for change.

My dad taught me about super heroes & secret identities before Marvel & DC. During the week my dad wears a suit, has an office and as a CFO looks/acts like your typical white collar professional. But when he's not there he switches to his 'other' identity where he gets out in the world to help people like here in Belfast. He taught me you can make a bigger difference in the world when you go out into it than just sitting behind a computer judging. #gomakeadifference
