"I don't understand how people can interpret Killua have a crush on Gon."
Hmm... I wonder why?
It really doesn't take a genius to understand why people ship the two.
I JUST REMEMBERED THAT FUCKING PARALLEL OF THESE TWO SCENES BEING DRAWN SIMILARLY. LITTERALY WHAT THE HELL. THEY ARE THE LIGHT OF EACH OTHER'S LIFE AND THEY BOTH CANT SEE IT.
killugon
ok there is no way killua does not have feelings for Gon have you seen his icy glare for pretty much everyone? the way he remembers nobody's name but Gon. and this all happens in S1 when its just a crush.
On how killugon will end word vomit
Dudebros in the HxH fandom believe that killugon fans will cry and shit their pants if or when killugon doesn't become canon when Hunter x Hunter ends. And as a killugon shipper -- I am only speaking for myself, idk about others -- I won't be upset at all whatever the nature of Gon and Killua's relationship turns out to be. Do I think Killua has a crush on Gon? Yes. Do I believe that there is romantic subtext in their friendship? Absolutely. But what matters the most to me is that Killua and Gon reunite, resolve their tensions from the previous two arcs, and they stay together forever (very naive, I know). Whether they are declared to be strictly platonic, or ambiguous, or in an explicitly romantic relationship, from the bottom of my heart, I DO NOT care. I just want them to make each other happy in whatever way they can.
Togashi has so far never let me down with his writing, so I have the hope that I will be satisfied with whatever ending he has in mind. Even if there is a ton of bloodshed and angst, not in a Game of Thrones type of way, but in a "This is what Hunter x Hunter is all about" type of way. If Togashi stays true to what makes HxH the manga that it is, I will be satisfied. I hate how dudebros just assume that all killugon shippers are just mindless fujoshis without any media literacy when I have never seen such high quality analysis as I have from killugon fans.
An ending that will disappoint me is if Gon and Killua end up in heterosexual relationships with characters they have no chemistry with -- female characters with no independent depth. But as Togashi has managed to subvert the audience's expectations of shounen so many times, I am sure that he would do it once more.
I am not gonna sit here and say that I 100% believe that Killua and Gon will end up together romantically. It would be amazing for sure, but there is obviously a lot more to HxH that should be prioritised in the end.
This doesn't make sense but TL;DR I as a killugon fan will not be upset if Gon and Killua end up being just friends. I have faith in Togashi.
Hold me, console me
And then I’ll leave without a trace
Hey there! May I request Killua and Gon with a very feminine reader who was like a Big Sister to them? She has EVERYTHING in light pink. She loves the bows, loves the pearls, loves the lace, and loves to emotionally be there for those around her—such as Killua and Gon, especially as time went on. A very good listener who knows when to give input is what she is. She's not at all stupid and can handle herself well in a fight, she just has a very positive attitude and embodies the color pink. Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw may be a good reference!
Please and thank you!! Have a good day!
Killua & Gon x Very Feminine Big-Sister!Reader 🌷
1) Gon is absolutely enchanted by you from the moment he meets you. Your soft pink outfits, bows, pearls, lace, everything about you reminds him of home and comfort. He instantly assigns you the role of “big sister,” even if you didn’t agree to it yet. Killua pretends he doesn’t care, but the first time you gently fixed the bow in your hair while talking to them, he stared for a good ten seconds before snapping out of it.
2) Both boys adore how motherly and protective you are, but in a gentle, supportive way. You don’t hover or nag; you listen. You genuinely listen. Whenever Gon has one of his emotional rambles or Killua struggles with expressing something, you sit with them, all soft smiles and patient eyes, giving input only when needed. They trust you faster than they trust most adults.
3. You’re feminine, yes, but you’re also lethal when you need to be. The first time trouble strikes and you pull off a flawless combat move in your pink lace outfit, Gon cheers like it’s the coolest thing he’s ever seen. Killua tries to act unimpressed, but he mentally rewinds the scene seventeen times. “She looked like she stepped out of a dollhouse,” he mutters, “then she almost killed that guy.”
4) Your room is a pastel explosion. Pink blankets, pink curtains, pink storage boxes, pink weapon sheaths, Killua calls it “Pepto-Bismol paradise” while Gon happily pokes at your plushies and bows. Secretly, Killua finds your space comforting, even though he loudly complains about “all the pink attacking him.”
5) When the boys feel overwhelmed, you create the safest environment for them. Gon curls up on your bed while babbling happily about new adventures. Killua sits near you, arms crossed, pretending he’s only staying because “Gon insisted,” but relaxes visibly as soon as you start gently playing with his hair or straightening his messy clothes.
6) Gon is very touchy with you, hugging you from behind, holding your hand while walking, leaning on your shoulder. Killua acts like he hates it, until you place a soft, warm hand on his head or arm. He melts instantly but hides his face. “Don’t pat me like a dog.” He absolutely wants you to continue, it's nice because he hasn't felt a gentle touch like that in a long long time.
7) You’re the emotional anchor of the trio. Gon comes to you with excitement, Killua comes to you with fear or doubt. You always know what to say, not because you know everything, but because you take your time to understand. “Do you want advice?” you ask gently. “Or do you want me just to listen?” Killua has never heard an adult ask him that before.
8) You help them take care of themselves in ways they never learned. Bandaging their wounds, cleaning their cuts, reminding them to hydrate and eat properly. All while wearing a frilly pink apron. Gon loves it. Killua pretends it’s embarrassing, but he doesn’t stop you.
9) Despite being gentle, you’re not afraid to scold them when necessary. If they’re pushing themselves too hard, you put your foot down. “Sit. Rest. Now.” Gon pouts but listens; Killua grumbles but obeys too. Your soft heart doesn’t make you weak, it makes you impossible for them to disappoint.
10) Both boys consider you their emotional safe haven. Gon tells you about his dreams. Killua tells you about his fears, quiet confessions he wouldn’t share with anyone else. You never judge. You never make them feel small. And that’s what makes you their big sister: you hold them with gentleness, strength, and a whole lot of pink.
