everybody always focuses on Mike Crew as the ‘haha silly falling guy’ and they do not see how deep his horror goes. Forced to become something sub-human to escape his own mind, losing himself as he does so.

Also, just the fear that was always going throughout his life, and just general spiral things that haunted him? It’s one of the most perfect depictions of the spiral to me, forced to keep on going ‘am I crazy? Am I crazy?’ because the storm never comes.
