Me personally? I think Gerard Keay, Mike Crew and Antonio Blake/Oliver Banks are all best friends and slightly in love. Gerry is dating Michael tho and Oliver and Mike are dating so it's this couple subtly flirting with their best friend while the flirting gets ruined by the spiral randomly showing up. Sitcom style! The Michaels are the only ones who can look directly into the camera like the office tho and yes it is because they share a first name.
