Marriage was always a touchy subject for the young woman. The idea of being tied down to someone that her parents picked simply because it was advantageous to them. Angel had spent all of her adult life building herself up from nothing at all after leaving Belgium and telling her parents her desire to be more independent. While she had much success, Angel knew how important it was to maintain a good relationship with her parents. Maybe the one thing she could have was her independence from their money but if she wanted to still have the wonderful connection that she had with them, she knew she had to give up.
That’s why she was there, trying to make amends with a man that she felt should be back in high school based solely on his maturity. Her parents knew how much influence this power couple had in Korea and how many connections their family could get in the process. Promises to an improvement to his mother’s acting career and better scoops on stories seemed enough incentive for his parents to be more than eager for her to meet their son. However, Angel asked all of her friends about him. A producer? Playboy? Hates working?
Sounded like a marriage to him would be as happy as watching paint dry and behind the backs of his parents, she had no problem voicing that to him. However, she seemed to have gotten on this spoiled prince’s bad side since he seemed to always be cancelling their meetings. Not this time. Angel was making a surprise visit to his home. Their eyes seemed to meet with some surprise and animosity as they saw each other again alone in his home. Both of his parents seemed to be out so they could speak freely this time. “We seemed to have gotten off on the wrong foot, Minkyu. I’m sorry for being an asshole. My parents seem to find it very important that I get along with you so I’m here to start fresh.”
