Hints of Haunted Hospital: Heilstätten with notes of Grave Encounters and just a dash of No Escape/Follow Me. Not so great special effects/scares for a not so great movie. Give it a whirl if you enjoy foreign films though.

Trigger Warning Flashing Lights
A group of youtubers (our favorite) want to explore a haunted asylum for mad views on their channel so they do just that. The night starts out fine, they set up their cameras and equipment then enter the asylum again to begin their live video. The investigation and video are going pretty well/normally at first, they even record a door slamming which was pretty cool for them. They are running a tight ship when it comes to this live video they are doing and they are teasing the finale of the video (going into the most haunted room, number 402) before they even get to it. They decide to do a ritual with candles and bells and the spirits blow out the candles and shake all the bells, it was a little crazy. Still up until this point nothing has really happened and we are a little over 45 minutes into the film. Turns out though, some of the group is tampering with things behind the scenes to create these scares. They don’t believe this place is haunted so they are doing fake things to boost views. “Not even a ghost can stop me.” Sneaky, sneaky.
Things start to get a little weird at base camp for Captain though, lights going out, the camping stove turning on by itself… Very suspicious. The gang finds a doll that is a little silly, a little creepy, and it really freaks one of the girls out. Finally at about one (1) hour into the movie some really haunted stuff starts to happen, one (1) of the girl's arms gets pulled violently and scratched three (3) times while another girl has her scarf levitated. Very spooky stuff! If the gang wasn’t ready to leave before they are totally ready to leave now. They even find writing on the wall that changed from “LET’S LIVE” to “LET’S DIE.” This was enough to cause two (2) of the girls to leave the investigation and the boys start to think about following suit but they want to keep going to get the ad revenue from all the views they expect to get. So now things are finally happening but it is fast then over Most of the boys and the girls get incapacitated.
Two (2) of the boys that are in the asylum have all the furniture in the room levitate to the ceiling, fall down, then start being thrown around the room, knocking the main boy out. The other boy gets the Paranormal Activity drag down the hall and is thrown, knocking him out. The two (2) girls that left get lost in the woods and one (1) of them becomes possessed, the other one makes her way to base camp where the Captain should be. Instead it opens back into the asylum with her friend Blair Witching it up by the wall. A creepy patient is there and grabs her, takes her away. One (1) of the boys wakes up and tries to tell the final two (2) to get the hell out of there but it is too late, they make it into the final and worst room, room number 402. There is somehow water below and above them, there are apparitions in the cameras and then all three (3) remaining members are possessed, leaving the Captain left. The Captain is strangled and possessed right away just for entering the building. The movie ends with the only guy who wasn’t possessed, the main guy, being taken away in a wheelchair not being pushed by anyone visible. Spooky, scary!
Found footage will forever reign supreme as the best horror subgenre and this film is the crown prince. The scariest movie I've seen in years and one of the best you'll find. If you like found footage and haven't seen this one, you need to put it on your list.
