agree wholeheartedly about the characters, especially miss piggy and denise (that accent is so terrible and i cringed every time), i think the mockumentary style works because its the ~style~ now whereas variety show was the style back then

i’m throwing denise out the window myself alongside the writers tbh my baby piggy deserves so much better ughuhughguhhhhh

and i know mockumentary is the thing now but like 

i want my variety show because i’m selfish

i enjoyed it alright but it was really really weird for me because i’m used to MY (read: jim henson’s) muppets, not disney owned muppets

i just couldn’t enjoy it. nobody felt like themselves :-/

fozzie is making gay jokes (basically) and making someone feel bad for no good reason whatsoever (he would NEVER)! the women are...side-characters and romantic interests with no personalities (like even miss piggy felt toned down past the point of no return and she should ALWAYS be an unstoppable force) and this new girlfriend thing seems straight out of some horrible twilight zone. 

and this mockumentary style just feels wrong

when gonzo’s best joke is a self-aware one that they show prominently in the trailer, there’s a problem. this isn’t my muppets

they aren’t mandatory here either (flu shots) cos I don’t get them cos allergy to em but yeah a lot of em you had to go get either from ur pediatrician or from the health department before u could enroll in school

they’ve started pushing for people to get the flu vaccine every winter in the past few years here, which is a good thing I guess. 

yeah I was vaccinated before school but we get boosters I guess throughout school??? I have no idea. I just remember getting the shots and being petrified of it.

u go to the health department to get ur vaccinations in America except flu shots they came to school for

jeeeeeeeesus. we don’t have mandatory flu shots here, so we never got those in school, but you get like meningococcal, hep b (don’t remember the others but probably I guess), rubella, mumps (I think?)...all the mandatory ones I suppose.

I got a bunch of things throughout primary and high school until I was 16 and we had to get the cervical cancer vaccine and I had a melt down and refused it (out of a fear of needles).
