Ninjago/ATLA Crossover - Accidental Airbender Morro
So recently I've been getting into Ninjago, I had seen the 2017 movie previously, but I hadn't really gotten into the show prior to that, at least until now. While I was watching Season 5, I couldn't help but think, "Wow, Morro makes Aang's airbending look weak-" and this just kind of spiraled out of control from there.
So, without further question or possible consequence....
Here's the Accidental Airbender Morro au!
Okay, I'm not sure exactly when this would happen, I'm thinking possibly The Merge might have just glitched our ghost boy out of the 16 realms and into Atla, but it really could happen anytime post Day of Departed. Long story short, Morro gets suddenly ripped out of the departed realm and is dropped into the Western Air Temple with no context as to how it happened. However, the change in enviroment is something he'll have to freak out about in a minute, as he scraped his hand on some of the broken stone when he roughly landed. One look at his bleeding palm and que freak out over behind alive again.
"What the f*ck?! What the f*ck, Cloud Kingdom?! I know I messed up but is someone up there drunk?!" - Morro
With nothing better to do, he does explore the surrounding temple, not even in the Curse or Departed realms did he see upside down buildings. He couldn't float any more (something he needed to adjust, thank FSM that he could control wind otherwise he would've fallen to his [re]death in the first five minutes of being alive again), so he relied on his wind powers for moving through the temple grounds. Searching gives Morro nothing in terms of figuring out where he is located.
Meanwhile the Gaang comes in after the utter disaster that was the Day of Black son, weary from the journey and the lost of their troops. Aang leads them to the Western Air Temple to regroup. Toph senses the temple, and something moving inside, but the steps are so light that she's not sure if it's some kind of animal or a person.
"Honestly it kinda feels like you twinkle toes" - Toph
They don't really think much of it. At first
Morro noticed the gaggle of children arriving before they notice him. He ducks out of sight and tries not to reveal himself. If any of these kids had any connection to Stiix, let's say he didn't want to accidentally traumatized them again. Also, why were there so many earth masters? did the old one die? No, Morro had seen him as a ghost, and he didn't lose his status, also there were at least two of them here...which shouldn't have been possible. He watches them curious, when they wander into some of the more unstable area's of the temple, the ceiling threatens to cave in on them. Morro reacts before he can stop himself, pulling on his hood and blasting the rocks back before the kids got the chance to run. They stare with wide eyes at him after the fact, and he mis-interpretes this as them recongizeing the evil wind ninja, so vanishes faster then they can catch him. Meanwhile the kids book it back to Aang to tell him, "We found an airbender!"
Considering the previous topic of conversation was finding Aang a firebending teacher, he's ready to latch onto any other convo topic. However, once the other mention seeing an Airbender, he can't stop thinking about it. About the fact that he might not be alone after all. Might not be the last. Sokka and Katara are a little more skeptical, thinking that maybe it was the temple's secrets. While Toph actually supports the possibility, another airbender would explain why she was feeling two twinkle toes.
"WHERE TOPH!? WHERE?!" - Aang
"First! Stop Shaking me! Second ON THE EAST SIDE! And I think he just ran into a wall." - Toph.
And with that Morro became the hunted...with out knowing the reason as to why. Unfortunately for him, as he hadn't had a living body for who knows how long, he hadn't eaten and refused to anywhere near the temple's fountains since waking up. A choice that was now coming back to haunt him. That last save and the hasty fleeing afterward, was the final straw and running into a wall, because those were now solid to him again, did not help. The Gaang find Morro passed out in a hallway deep in the temple.
Katara isn't entirely sure of this "New Airbender", still Aang's polarpup eyes are enough to make her look him over. Taking off the mask, he certainly didn't look like an air nomad. The long black hair speaks more of Fire nation, though Katara couldn't explain the weird white streak in his hair (yes, I know Morro's streak is green, but he's let go of that obession and it's there as whole thing about seeing a ghost and your hair going white. It makes more sense if you don't think about!), however there's no doubting this guy's heritage when he wakes up, takes one look at Katara healing his palm with water bending and both she and Aang are thrown across the room by a gust of wind.
Not sure of the full plot from here, but the Gaang does end up with one more Airbender, who refuses to near any sort of water, even drinking it, is constantly bumping into walls, refuses to elaborate on anything from his past, and seems to know nothing of what happening in the world.
Aang tries to explain the air nomads, but that convo can be summed up as...
"The Air Nomads were a people of great humility, freedom and detached themselves from worldly desires"- Aang
"*hysterical wheezing*" - Morro
When Zuko comes along, Morro just straight up askes how many people did his guy kill/enslave/torture? And the Gaang can't really give an exact number, but they can probably multiply what they know about him by 10 and be accurate. Meanwhile Morro, over here is just screaming internally about, how he stole a kid's body for a month and destroyed a village, before he finally went looking for redemption. Zuko's already leagues a head of him, so he's one of the nice people to the fire prince when he's allowed to join up.
and that's all i got folks. Not sure what will happen next, thank you for listening to my mushy half cooked plot spaghetti
