oml so when i was in ninth grade my brief close friend kim invited me over and played me the newly minted INOK music video (lifechanging) and then my lasting best friend sam showed me the ghost of you music video (life! changing!) - i owe my emo cred to friends i had who had ondemand and could call up music videos in a pre-youtube/vevo era

BUT i didn’t actually properly get into them until the lead up to TBP - it came out a week before my fifteenth birthday (POTENT) and i remember sam, who was better at piracy than me, painstakingly downloaded it and burned it on a CD for me with the rest of the disc taken up by songs she thought i’d like from panic’s a fever you can’t sweat out, which i was at the time refusing to listen to because i was a snob. she got the black parade tracks a little bit out of order on her burned copy tho, so even though i’ve had the Actual Album for years and years i still half-expect house of wolves to come on right after sharpest lives lmao
