I know you get tones of asks/messages but I just want to tell you how much I LOVE your writing!!!! I think you are just so good at writing captivating stories that actually hook readers and leave them wanting more, which is crazy impressive and inspiring! Do you have any tips on how to create a story with interesting plots, characters, and dialogue? I’m still struggling a bit 🥺💕

advice!

i daydream a LOT. like, a ridiculous amount. i’m an only child, so it’s just second nature to escape into another plane of existence lmao

weirdly, when i daydream, i imagine words. i don’t ‘see’ a scenario fold out in front of me, i see the words. if the words i see don’t fit, i add new ones, and add and add until i’m happy. i don’t know how this helps you but i thought i’d add it

when i get an idea i open word on my phone and jot it down!

read what you write out loud! the whole thing, not just the dialogue. hearing it catches mistakes in flow, and also pings your brain if something isn’t right

find a ‘muse’ or a someone to scream about ideas with. hype-friends are REAL and IMPORTANT and are the root of all incredible stories!

read read read read read read read read read. i only read for a long time before posting my own work!

write write write write write write. my old stuff from when i started writing is T R A S H. hell, i even have a couple of old marvel fics in my masterlist that make me cringe, but i keep them there because of growth. we don’t all start off as good storytellers! i sure as heck didn’t!

listen to music! music is so incredibly inspirational! imagine your OTP and a scenario, and try and capture the mood!

i also like to ratio my fics like: dialogue — plot — monologue. not necessarily in that order, of course. i add my scene setting throughout my fics (or try to) instead of making entire paragraphs on it. i also try not to make my paras too big because i get bored with them lmao
