#goodbye markers

I decided to illustrate something to go with my “Runt” story teaser that I posted here.

My markers decided to die and ruin the color. Guess I’m switching back to digital art. TwT But I’m no good at digital hhh.

I really hope I can write that whole story someday. And “Infected”. And a few other ideas I’ve had.

So I’m a big huge Vinesauce nerd, and one of my favorite things has to be Joel painting along with Bob Ross in Mario Paint. So with that and some... inspiration... I “painted” along with my marker collection. As you can see, I’ve made tons of progress in learning how to mix my marker colors, and used a white colored pencil to lighten up areas. Given that I’d sometimes color over said white areas, then went through that with a blender, I noticed how much easier it was to get colors to blend. I came up with the idea of pre-coating my work page with a layer of white colored pencil before working on that last one, a revisit to my first drawing.

The differences are striking, but I will say this: RIP markers, wallet.
