ffffffffffuck no that is way too sentimental and Charlie prefers to get shit done instead of just sitting around and wishing for it. …with perhaps the possible exception of the “three months in New York and three in Miami and then I can die happy” thing when he was resigned to not being able to get back into the US. at that point sentimentality is… really all he’d have left, so why not, it’ll be about as effective as anything else.

sleeping, especially if it’s a sleep-deprivation crash, because as light a sleeper as Meyer is when he’s had enough sleep [or what passes for enough sleep for him, anyway] when he crashes he crashes hard and not only is he a heavier sleeper during a crash, if he gets woken up before he wakes up naturally he’s even more useless than he is when actually sleep-deprived – which is admittedly pretty fucking useful still, but it’s about the appearance of competence and anyone seeing him at less than 100%. the only upside of a crash is he’s less likely to have night terrors, so. sleeping around anyone is always a trade off: either he risks someone finding out how bad his night terrors actually are, or he conks the fuck out during a crash and leaves himself vulnerable.
