Interesting #dailycalm #meditation today...the subject was #BeingEnough. And although I get the idea that you can be perfectly happy with a simple life and not being ambitious about the things you go after, there’s another side to that. 💪🏻 In the same way that we need to be aware that ambition for the sake of getting material things doesn’t always lead to happiness, we also need to be aware that ambition can be used to gain other things: like #time. I am perfectly OK with where I am in my life from a status and material things standpoint. I don’t need a whole lot. To be frank, I’ve got more crap in my house that I really need or ever use. On the other hand, I would absolutely love to have more time in my life. A little ambition toward gaining a lifestyle that would allow that increase in personal time would go a long way. ⏰ So let’s put it this way: I don’t necessarily think you shouldn’t be ambitious, but I do think your ambition doesn’t necessarily have to lead to higher status, but bigger promotions, or more stuff. So Far So Good

It’s been 6 days and I’m still very much on track. I’ve stuck to my meal-prep meals for breakfast, lunch, snacks and most dinners. Only twice have I eaten something I didn’t prepare last Friday but both meals were still good decisions.

I’ve kept sugar out of my coffee, and haven’t had a soda diet or otherwise since. I had my sugar headache on Saturday/Sunday and have been a little lethargic the last two days but today I’m feeling good.

The sun is out, I just finished my second work out since Monday and I’m enjoying my rice bowl outside.

My husband has been doing well also. He’s still drinking his diet Pepsi’s but we all have our vices. ☺️ Even my roommates have started to meal plan and eat better on their own. I’m seeing so many wonderful, motivational stories and I’m excited to see how far I’ve come a year from now. Hopefully I’ll be inspiring people like I have been inspired. 🤞🏻

So Last night my work hosted our annual holiday party. It was fantastic and I was able to stick keto so easily! I was worried beforehand because I had no idea what they'd be serving but it turns out the meal was buffet style. They had salad which was delicious, green beans, chicken, and steak.
