Good Mojo Process: Interview Outtake with Carly

One of the artists at Good Mojo, Carly, has had a growing influx of Montserrat students wanting to be tattooed by her. I remember meeting her and saying “Oh! You’re the Carly everyone is talking about!”  One of my friends and fellow students, Remy, is currently having a sleeve done by her and I asked Remy to interview Carly for the documentary, because collaboration is rad. So Remy interviewed her today and here’s a quick outtake from the footage.  I might find a way to include the footage in the final cut, I think it really captures the essence of Good Mojo in all of its goofy wacky fun. -

I kind of want to dig deeper into Carly’s Montserrat Celebrity status. So I’m going to be interviewing recently Montserrat Alum (’14) and client of Carly’s, Taylor Kurmis. Taylor has a lot of tattoos and she’s pretty cool anyways.

Phoebe’s interview was postponed for tomorrow (Tuesday), so I’m spending some more time to prepare for that.

Booked an interview with Mulysa Mayhem of Good Mojo Tattoo Shop. I’ll be doing a documentary in a similar manner to the one of I did of Mower’s Barbershop, which Mulysa is familiar with. She grew up in the area, and has a really great deal of knowledge about the community. She’s really involved and all about the art world, which is pretty freakin’ rad. I’m really excited to work with her.
