A very quick sketch I did with some paint sticks I got for three quid. They are very plastic and shiny but they do make me sketch very loosely and a bit more freely.

I might take them with me to do more outside sketches, cause as much as I like my inks, they are difficult to transport.

My online Animals in mixed media class stars a Zebra this week and it is happening on Friday, September 11, 1-3p. Sign up on my website: link in bio. Did you know that Zebras are black with white stripes and these stripes serve as a mechanism to confuse predators especially in lions who are color blind? My drawing classes are not JUST about how to draw the animals. I like to learn about their habitats, their nature, and their culture which I try to convey in my lessons and my own artful interpretations of each animal I render.
