Finally got myself working tapered drill bits with countersinks. There's plenty of those on the market but most will just get you frustrated. Bits from @wlfullerinc are pure pleasure to work with. Countersuing collar has two screws so it sits securely on the drill bit. Tapered bit ensures the maximum grip for the screw. I was working on table saw station today. I don't have much time to do it so I decided to keep it simple and use but joints with a glue and screws. I will post it tomorrow. There’s plenty of controversy and disagreements over saw blades, brands, which is best, which lasts longest, tooth count, angle, etc. I’ve found @freud_tools /@diablo_tools to be a nice compromise between price and performance. At first, I used a thin kerf combo blade for everything. That’s fine if your focus is rustic pine, but when you step up to finer woodworking, consider a dedicated crosscut and ripping blade. For my crosscut, I use an 80 tooth and it’s been great for me. For ripping, I had been using a full kerf glue line ripping blade. This is a heavy duty monster and it’s great for full size saws on thicker hardwoods. But it’s probably overkill (and wastes 1/8” every cut) for most ripping I do. So I got a thin kerf ripping blade for general purpose ripping. The bonus on this one is that it has a true flat top grind, so I can use it as my spline cutting blade too. YMMV, but I’ve been happy with these.
