An Unpleasant Discovery
The angel flew towards the house he had last seen the now human angel at. Gabriel had said it was okay for him to visit, after all. It had been a few weeks. He simply wanted to make sure he was well (and hadn't been caught).
He alighted on the front step, frowning when he found the lights off. Perhaps Gabriel was at his job? What was he working as now? Some form of... food deliverer?
Temperance stood straight, almost stiffly so, now taller than the angel beneath him.
He looked at the angel through a gold tinted visor, the angel who seemed so little and insignificant now beneath the pulsing of the control of the world, his beautiful orange view. And his eyes- his eyes were open, open to see Gabriel for the small being he was, open to the truth, open to see Justice and how He, Temperance would deliver it.
He was going to kill that blonde bastard.
Temperantia raised his sword, his weapon of pure holy light. All of the Virtue had something like it, but normally the golden Virtue preferred to use his fists. But now was a special case. Gabriel had stayed not dead for just a little bit too long.
He flung the weapon, the air singing almost like an angelic chorus as the world fazed a lighter shade, light flinging itself onto every surface. But he missed. Gabriel was fast, and no doubt scared.
The angel was out of the small building, now running for his life. As fast as he was, it took no time at all for the Virtue to catch up, golden cape flying after him majestically, yet somberly as the coat of death itself.
"Down." Temperantia ordered, smashing the flat of the blade against the blonde angel, pushing Gabriel sprawling on the ground. The angel- who looked more like a boy at the moment- was grimy and dirty, shaking and staring up at the Virtue with wide, terrified eyes. Temperantia knew he was as good as dead already, and so did Gabriel. Their eyes met, and a flicker of a smile passed over the Virtue.
This must've been how Chastity looked, he thought, and with a sudden surge of anger, Temperantia swung his blade.
The blonde angel's head rolled away, but the Virtue didn't look at it. He was done. Done with that angel forever. Done.
And now, Chastity could finally rest.
