Savor the mouthwatering flavors of this traditional Mississippi Mud Pie. This dessert is a true delight, with a chocolatey crust, a gooey filling, and a fluffy whipped cream topping.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. 1 cup chopped pecans. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1 cup powdered sugar. 3 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 1/2 cups heavy cream. 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar. 1/4 cup chocolate shavings for garnish.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. Melted butter and chocolate cookie crumbs should be combined in a mixing bowl. To make the crust, press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Over the crust, scatter the chopped pecans and chocolate chips. Melt half of the unsalted butter in a different bowl and allow it to cool a little. Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to the melted butter and stir. Blend until thoroughly blended. Sift the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. This dry mixture should be added to the wet mixture gradually and stirred until smooth. Over the chocolate chips and pecans in the pie dish, pour the batter. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean after baking for 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven. Allow it to cool fully. Beat the heavy cream and confectioners' sugar together in a different bowl until stiff peaks form. Cover the chilled pie with the whipped cream. Add chocolate shavings as a garnish. Before serving, the pie should be chilled for at least two hours. Cut, present, and savor!
