Google Integrates Twitter into its Desktop search results
Google, the worlds biggest search engine integrates Twitter into its Desktop search results. Earlier we had to log onto twitter, click on interesting hash tags, search for tweets and trending topics to know what was happening around the globe.
Now things have changed. The new Google desktop and Twitter integration make it possible to search for hashtags, trending topics, and Twitter accounts with a regular search on the Google Desktop. You have to simply type in a topic on the Google search engine itself with or without a hash tag and you’ll be shown a list of trending tweets about that topic on real time basis.

It’s a common belief that people feel more at home using the Google search engine. The idea behind this integration is to save the effort of logging on to Twitter, searching for interesting hash tags and viewing a Tweet. At the same time after you type a topic on Google, Google does not do anything more than provide a sequential list of posts and tweets.
In the month of February this year, Twitter’s Ex-CEO Dick Costolo announced that Twitter would be integrating with Google in the near future. So this did not come as a surprise to Twitter users. This feature has been available on Google’s mobile website and apps since May this year, but this is the first time the Twitter-Google integration has arrived on the desktop. This new tie-up is available across the globe in English.
The giant social media platforms of today believe the root to growth lies in the ability to integrate and make more friendly ties.
