Google + and Google Profiles for Lawyers

This article is a decent intro to understanding the significance of Google + and Google profiles to attorneys. However, it’s only a first step. Actively managing a “digital profile” (term of art of technophiles for the sum total of your online presence – website, social media, SEO, etc.) for your firm and yourself, is a critical, if time consuming endeavor.

Having seen hundreds of firm web sites and social media antics, I can tell you that the legal profession has a long way to go with understanding and fully harnessing the power of web 2.0 and beyond.

If you don’t have the time to actively manage a digital profile on your own, consider contracting it out. In the world of today, it can’t be ignored.

Google Profiles : Mise à jour

Google a mis a jour son module "Profiles" qui permet de renseigner ses informations professionnelles liées à son compte Gmail.

Excellent outil pour améliorer sa eReputation, et notamment se positionner rapidement en top des résultats de recherche sur son nom-prénom.

Google Profiles permet de renseigner son cursus universitaire, ses expériences professionnelles et de placer les liens qui vont bien (réseaux sociaux, blogs, sites persos...).

Le module permet également de mettre quelques photos dans une section intitulée "Carnet de Voyage".

De manière générale, Google Profiles offre un affichage clair et efficace de son profil.

J'ai rempli le mien et c'est plutôt agréable à l'utilisation.

If you visit https://profiles.google.com today, you will notice that Google has changed the Google Profiles pages! They have made a major change towards the best in my opinion.

What I miss is my SideWiki posts... I guess they are going to kill this feature? Unless there is a way to activate SideWiki again.
