Is the discoholic anonymous hotline number an actual number we can call?

TL;DR: yes - [phone] so, when the pandemic first started in 2020, & when the Discoholics Anonymous album was in production, i played a lot of Twitch music festivals that i filmed as really long music videos, like this one here

some people did a live set, some did prerecorded, like i did. i wanted some form of audience interaction to make up for the lack of that "live" aspect. so i decided to get a Google Voice phone number & flashed the number on the screen throughout these live sets so i can pretend to be a Discoholics Anonymous hotline agent as people were watching the sets. it was a lot of fun!

in 2021, the Discoholics Anonymous hotline also saw action on my own interactive Twitch stream to answer calls live on air

in late 2022, when the Discoholics Anonymous album was ready to ship. i asked a select few who left voicemails on the hotline permission to use their real voicemails for this track here, and gave everyone who left a voicemail exclusive preorder access to Discoholics Anonymous on cassette tape and vinyl, as a thank you to everyone who contacted the hotline

so, the Discoholics Anonymous hotline number has a lot of history behind it, and i still take the time to respond to people who leave texts and voicemails. there was one person recently who left a very nice voicemail and he talked me into giving him a free download code for Discoholics Anonymous. that bastard!

you can still call the hotline, but i only answer them live during live twitch music festivals (the last time was for VaporAid in April 2024, where i did a special thing where every call/text I got = $1 donation to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund), but nothing's stopping you from leaving a voicemail, listening to the leave a voicemail message, or just texting it whenever
