Desert Topography. Geology at its finest. by Dave Ward Via Flickr: Just wrapped up a short but productive run down to southern Utah/Arizona border. Not a long trip, but sometimes that’s all you need. A couple of early mornings with endless red rock dusted with fresh snow stretching in every direction. I was able to get the drone up for a few flights and capture some perspectives you just can’t see from the ground, winding washes, layered sandstone, and the way the light spills across the landscape at first light.

Monsoon comes to the Goosenecks. An early season thunderstorm flows over Monument Valley towards the Goosenecks of the San Juan River. A fine treat after 7 days floating the river below. #utah #sanjuanriver #goosenecks #travel #geology #erosion #canyon https://www.instagram.com/p/BzJIFhfAIpn/?igshid=1d4v2appjvsal
