Gordon Walker's instincts would have taken a beating in s4+ era. CAN YOU IMAGINE. Not only do we get the wide-eyed Kubrick staring up at the sky like :D :D :D :D :D :D :D "Apocalypse. Now. I told you. Yay. Jesus time!!!!1111 <3"

But Gordon is very, very much like. "Oh, no."

Because every time something happens, between the combined power of Kubrick's insanity and Gordon's instincts, they DO very much figure out what's going on

and every time, I mean EVERY TIME, Gordon is giving this energy:

GORDON: "Oh, fuck. I hope we're wrong about this (plot thing)." KUBRICK: <3

Narrator voice: Of course. They weren't wrong.

I think Gordon* and Kubrick are hilarious. Kubrick is going on about Jesus, or buying some kitschy souvenir, like idk, maybe a Jesus apron, and Gordon is unironically rolling his eyes skyward, thinking flatly, “God, give me strength.”

Not to be Gordon Walker posting -AGAIN- but I was thinking about Dean's dreamworld, the anemic contentedness of Rocky's Bar in 14*x10 Nihlism, and Idk I feel like Gordon could have something similar.

(I think in some of the side materials Jo Harvelle hero-worshipped Gordon, so it's possible he frequented roadhouses).

But the specific thing about Rocky's Bar isn't so much that I think Gordon would have a familial/friendly gathering place so much as I think the motif of vampires coming back for revenge... might be something that recurs for him, even in a little happy place. That became Gordon's life... and his death.

@jasmineintheforest I was going to write the Chuck-locking-away Amara and Gordon-killing-his little sister For The Greater Good meta for you, but honestly when I got to Gordon's death it was so tragic and I got SHOOK.

I haven't forgotten though. And I am going to do it, because honestly it hits.

I mean, we all agree Gordon in s8 would’ve improved not just the flair but the actual logical structure (and suspicion) of s8, but he would also be fire in s6. He’s so “for the greater good-” driven, you can pretty much put him anywhere, and when you’ve exhausted that, plop his sister in there, and you get even more. For example, Gordon and his sister as B plot to Amara season 11, anyone?

I can't stop thinking about Gordon's sister. She was a child ough. Anyways I have got to come up with a fun pallette of personality traits to give her. (And imo Gordon is a bit parentified for sure). I NEED to draw them or smth even if I don't write it ukwim? Do u hv any thoughts 👀

(distraction offerings to get thru ur day but also I genuinely need Gordon's sister to have some justice done to her 😭)

I would like to make her a violin prodigy or a up-and-coming ballerina/dancer. Someone with so much promise, but with a lot of underlying ambition, efficiency, and desperation that can get warped by the hunger.
