can i ask if we’ll ever get to read a scenario where jas is physically sick/hurt for the sake of some angsty!jake? can’t say i wouldn’t enjoy seeing him losing his shit with overprotectiviness. i also feel it’d be funny bc jas seems like the type that hates being fussed over.

Bestie, this is such a good idea. Jake would go completely out of his mind if Jas were hurt or injured, while Jas would be so annoyed that he’s fussing over her.

Under the cut, you’ll find a little Jas being sick drabble. I’ll definitely expand on this at some point.

For someone who worked in the medical profession, Jas rarely got sick, and when she did, she didn’t stay in bed. She would go to work while running a temperature and her muscles aching so bad, she could hardly move.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Jas groaned at the sound of Jake’s voice behind her, her hand slipping off the door handle. “Going to work.”

She turned and faced him. His arms were folded across his chest, and the hard look in his eyes told Jas that she was in deep shit.

“You had a coughing fit 20 minutes ago,” he informed her as if she hadn’t been the one struggling to breathe at the time.

“I’m fine,” she said firmly, trying to fight off the sneeze building in her sinuses. “It’s just a little cold.”

“You look like d–“

She interrupted him by letting the sneeze overtake her. When she looked up, his eyes had softened, and he approached her slowly like he was afraid she’d sprint out the door if he moved too fast.

“Doc,” he said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. “I already called base and told them you weren’t coming in today.”

“Jake,” she gritted out, shoving his hand off her shoulder. “You can’t just call in sick for m–”

She sneezed again, and this time, she leaned against Jake for support.

“Not a word, Seresin,” she muttered, begrudgingly letting him guide her back to bed.

“Wouldn’t dream of it, Doc,” he insisted, trying but failing to keep the grin off his face at her admission of defeat, knowing full well that he was in for a long day of arguing with her about his fussing.

Re-skinning the furby is actually a lot easier than skinning! Turn the skin inside out, and apply the same method of attachment as it came with!

For a 98, hot glue, screws, clips, or whatever else. The zip tie isn’t necessary, but you can always use a long tie to keep the skin on. Optionally, you can use elastic so you can remove the skin anytime.

(Skipping 2005 because... I honestly have no idea, I don’t specialize in 2005s)

For 2012, 2013, and 2016, turn the skin inside out and reapply the clips and reattach the tickle sensor. I’d provide picture references, but I don’t have any tools on hand. So sorry :(

DIRECTORS CUT!!!! FOR CHAPTER 10 OF MIRACLE!!!! YESSSSSSSSS PLSSSSSSS

THANK YOU JAS I HONESTLY WASN’T EXPECTING ANYONE TO ASK ANYTHING. 💜💜💜💜Honestly I had to go back and reread this chapter because I’ve been working on Chapters 40 and beyond. (Quite embarrassing but I guess it happens right?) Here’s the link to Miracle (it’s updated to Chapter 15 on Tumblr but on Ao3 it’s to Chapter 28).

Okay so basically this was the first chapter I wanted to introduce and emphasise the fact that Nathan is a father. That was the entire reasoning for him to go back in time to try to kill Russell Collins in the first place, because the kid eventually becomes a villain and kills both his (ex in my fic)- wife and daughter in an act of revenge against Cable for not being able to capture him the last time.

So enough backstory for the plot, but really I wanted to create more content where Nathan can be seen as a father, the fics out there always have him as the “Dom Daddy” and as much as I can agree that he can be, I also like to remember he is literally a daddy.

So Chapter 10 has interactions with his daughter, and from the flashes and glances we got to see of Hope in the movie, I took the liberty to say that she was about 5-7 years old roughly, I chose 5 for the initial part. And “Try not to get her hopes up will you?” is his ex doubting that he’ll uphold yet another promise to be there for the family.

You see, Nathan being a soldier and defender in the future means that a lot of the time he will be out for days on end chasing down the next target or bad guy that comes his way. Initially his wife understood, that he was keeping them safe and protecting the area that Hope would grow up in, but after years and years of missing anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, (beginning with the smaller things like missing Hope’s first steps, or her first words), and the overall lack of time that they were having together as a family she began to feel lonely and doubt his words anymore. 

She would confide in a friend from her childhood, and he was very comforting for her and in comparison in her mind a life with him sounded appealing and stable, Chet (the man she confides in) is a promise that won’t be broken yet again, he has nowhere to run to and his job would never endanger them. She divorces Nathan and ultimately marries the new man in her life (who is also closer to her age, another discrepancy between her and Nathan) and they’re about to start a family together  “extended belly.” says it all, she’s pregnant.

So to stick to the topic once again whoops, Nathan as a father!!! He was completely devastated and had no idea that his wife was ready to divorce him after yet another long trip. And since they’re both alive, he wants to try and amend things, especially with his little girl.  “Try not to get her hopes up will you?” - it’s actually Hope’s birthday soon, she’s turning 6 and she is excited by the promise that her dad will be home in time for the day. She is not a fan of her step-father, and her mother is focused on the new baby on the way and on starting a new life. She only really got custody of Hope because Nathan didn’t have residence in safe places, if he even stayed long enough, and being away for most of the week Hope would not be under parental care but by herself at such a young age.

So I wanted to focus Nathan on a domestic side of things, especially how loving and caring he can be, why else would he break down if not for the hurt he experienced with losing his family, his little girl? His baby girl that he promised he would see on her 6th Birthday, and for her smile to make his now empty life somewhat better, who loves him despite how little she sees him.

I have more scenes planned with Nathan being a parental figure, and how he doubts himself to be a good father when in actual fact he’s brilliant, he was just deprived of the chance to be just that. I’m adamant that he loves his daughter more than anything else, and that he is willing to work hard at repairing and developing a stronger bond with her, simply because he loves her. He’s never been more determined in his life to succeed at something than when he realises that Hope needs him so that she can feel loved and understand that she is loved. 

My OC Hayden suggests doing anything in the present that parents do with their kids (because she never had her own childhood, so she has no better suggestions than that) and she decides that she’ll participate later in the activities because she wants that experience too. So both Hayden and Hope experience the joys of playing and being silly and having fun for the first time together, thanks to Nathan. 

And I’m ready to fight anyone who says that Nathan can’t be soft dammit.

Omfg your writing is amazing, and I could just gush about how much I love it this entire ask; that being said, I think it's in the name that I should ask something.

And my ask I mean request. Sorry it's more Wednesday Addams stuff.

So, I read your Orange cat shapeshifter thing and I think it would be so f-ing cute if Y/N and Wednesday were dating or something, and Wednesday morbidly curious as always just asked questions about her ability.

Now I understand if you have your own head cannons about Shapeshifter Y/N's, and do whatever you please with that prompt, but here are some question and answer ideas if you can't think of anything or run out of ideas or whatever!

Q: Does it hurt? A: No but it's weird. Like a tingly feeling, especial in the parts that change the most (like growing a tail).

Q: What happens if you get injured well you're shifted? A: The injuries transfer over. So if I cut myself as a Cat I'd have a cut in the same place in my human form.

Q: How does it work? A: From what I was told in my clan(head cannon that shapeshifters have their own clans/tribes, Kinda isolated and different and sucky, kinda like the traditions surrounding Mormons but more fitting) when we change our cells adapt to the thing we become. So when I turn into _, my cells are at the base still mine and I don't loose any, but they change on a molecular level. That's also why it's hard to become big things, because we have to draw the addition cells for size from nature or another living thing.

Q: Can you turn into people? A: Some shifters can, some can't. Humans are harder because of all the details you have to mimic. Its hard, but I can do certain people for short amounts of time. (But no one can do inanimate objects)

Q: Can you alter parts of yourself individually? A: Depends on how drastic. If I wanted I could probably go all furry, or something but I couldn't be able to change my height per sey by more then seven or eight inches for more then half an hour.

Wow reading theses they are all and dunno what was going through my head. I'm too tired to think tbh.

so idm if you’re taking requests, but if you are or aren’t , can i tell you about this idea i have ? for a tara carpenter x reader , or any jo character as you see fit , but in my head , it’s always been tara-

so basically , if you’re familiar with 5 seconds of summer , every time i listen to them (their self titled album, specifically heartbreak girl) i always come up with like scenarios of r, mindy, amber and wes being 5sos, but more locally known basically and having r write that song about tara and how she’s always calling/texting r about the problems she’s having with chad without realizing that r is in love with her

which ofc leads r to go to amber, mindy and wes to write that song together and having them preform at a local bar/club or something because they’re locally known and tara, sam, chad and the rest of the friend group is in the crowd, being supportive- but once they hear the song , they immediately know who it’s about and just look at tara awkwardly , and- that’s as far as i’ve gotten
