Here’s my shot of Sting at the 2017 Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party. There was The Police but Stung had his film debut in “Who Killed Bambi” and later was featured in Quadraphenia. Interestingly both Elton John and Sting were in The Who’s Rock Operas. I did love the infectious Raggae inspired pop of The Police and occasionally Stings solo efforts. I was excited to finally have the chance to shoot him that night. Today is Gordon Sumner’s birthday. He turns 69.
