Movie Review: Brain Twisters
Part 4 out of 12 movies in the Gorehouse collection DVD.
Brain Twisters is about a scientists who does odd experiments because he believes that there are subliminal messages in video games and computer graphics.
It's not so much as an exploitation grindhouse movie as it is a strange independent movie, for this has little to no thrills.
The video games shown hardly look like anything readily available in 1991 and most look like they came from the Intelivision/Colecovision/Atari age. I guess neither Nintendo, Sega, or even TurboGraphix weren't interested in creating something for this film.
The dialog is boring, but there is some good stuff said about lobotomy in the college lecture course scene. Otherwise there is bland techno-babble that tries to pass off "science" to support this ridiculous plot.
It's not the worst I've seen in this Gorehouse DVD collection, but I don't think things will be getting much better.
2/10 - So Bad, but at least catch it on cable TV when you have beer stocked up.
