• The given name Goro (吾朗/Gorō) means 'I' (吾/go) and 'son' (朗/ro)

• The family name Akechi (明智/Akechi) means 'bright' (明/akira) and 'wisdom' (智/tomo)

• The name Hinata 日(hi) means sun, 向(mukai) means direction. 日向 (hinata) can be read as 'sunny day' or 'in the sun / facing the sun'

In the Adrik timeline, he is warned about Goro's eventual death by Adrik, this results in him brainwashing Goro and his cognition after the fight and using a 'Go-ho m' on them to escape
