Kakariko Village

A border village between the Hylian and Goron spheres of influence. Neither power truly controls the village, though the taxes go to the Hylian monarchy. The village is almost a symbol of the peace between Gorons and Hylians.

Goron Sphere of Control

The Gorons control Death Mountain and its mines, and have been granted control of any future mines built in Hyrule. They also have freedom of trade to and from Castle Town.

Goron Childhood

A Goron is raised by whoever finds them. They are raised until they can walk and speak on their own, at which point they become independent. They may chose to remain with their surrogate fathers or carve their own path.

Birth of Gorons

Gorons have a long lifespan, and so children are rarely born. It is unknown where Goron children come from, as they are found from deep within their mountain. The myth is that Death Mountain is the mother and patron deity of the Gorons. The mountain births the Gorons - all male - to defend her.

Goron Patriarchy

The ruling class of Gorons. Contains four elders and a single patriarch. The elders, elected from a larger qualifying group, are the oldest and wisest of the tribe and hold power for life. The patriarch must be the strongest member of the tribe. A new patriarch comes to power when the old is defeated in a contest of strength. The patriarchy holds substantial power over Gorons and controls Death Mountain and all mines.
