♔ Event ♔ - White Out

At first you think it is over. The ringing in your ears persists, but less sharply. You look around at one another for some sort of explanation. Suddenly Gosami appears, running into the room looking frantic and haggard.

“Where is she? WHERE IS SHE!?” He’s shouting, this is the first time any of you have heard him raise his voice, but you’re rather distracted by something else.

All around you, the color is seeping away from the world. You don’t know how else to describe it- every bit of color is slowly leeching away, even black. Everything is becoming white- and then more than white, transparent. You feel woozy suddenly, as though a fog has descended over you. It’s getting hard to see, hard to think, hard to breathe……

You pass out. You must, for the next thing you know, you’re waking up on a cold stone floor…

Oh, the poor thing! Shinobu gingerly pets Gosami's... wing (can't reach his head rip) as she looks around the dining room. "Do you know where we could find some bandages? So we could... help your wounds. If not... I could get some tissue, from a bathroom."

The petting appears to help a little. Gosami is still crying, but he manages to work up the nerve to speak again.

"D-don’t worry about me, gosling. I’ll… be alright…" He sniffles, but the tears just keep on coming. "Oh, this is just horrible. How could she do something like this? What can she be thinking?”

"Gosami-san? Are you alright? You're... not too hurt, right?" Shinobu's voice sounded frantic with concern, one of her hands hovering over where Gosami was bleeding to check his injuries.

Looking rather the worse for wear, Gosami makes a soft whimpering sound before unsteadily getting to his feet.

"I… I…" Tears are running down his beak, he seems to be trying to get some composure back but he’s very shaken up.

♔ EVENT - A Change in Mangement, A Change in Policy ♔

...And then she turns to you, to all of you, standing at the doors agape. She's tiny, no more than 4'5", and is standing on the chair at the head of the table. Her diminutive size does not lessen the terror of her words.

"...You all want to leave here, yes? Escape this place? You may call me Monoswan. My brother had no intention of letting you go. I, on the other hand, am willing to let one of you earn that right."

"...From now on, you will all be playing a game of Mutual Killing. The first of you to murder three of your classmates and get away with it will be sent home. To make it fair, however, the class will have a chance to investigate and hold a trial each time anyone is killed. Whomever is declared guilty will be permanently removed from the game, by which I mean they will be publicly executed, as is fitting for their heinous crime."

"...For further information, consult your handbooks. They have been updated. If you have questions, ask. If you have complaints, I don't care."

"I look forward to seeing who proves themselves worthy of continuing to live."

Following her matter-of-fact speech, Monoswan hopped off of the chair that she was standing on and made her way out of the Great Hall, delivering a swift kick to Gosami's gut on her way.

♔ EVENT - Coup D'État ♔

You awaken in your bed to your third day in Nechräm Kingdom. The third day of being trapped in this strange place. As you dress yourself and head down to the Great Hall for breakfast, mentally preparing to continue the cycle of fruitless questions and searching, you wonder just how long you're intended to stay here. As you enter however, it seems that already something is occurring to break the barely established routine.

"What are you doing? I'm handling this...!"

"No. You're not. You're wasting time."

Gosami seemed to be having a rather intense argument with another bird that none of them had seen before.

"You're not making any sense! It shouldn't take much longer, but we're not supposed to fight! Why are you doing this?"

"You don't know how long it will take. You don't know anything. I'm done with twiddling my thumbs while you prance around doing nothing. I'm done with playing second fiddle to a cowardly moron."

The other bird advanced upon him threateningly, voice remaining completely even yet growing exponentially in intensity as it continued to speak.

"I'm done with you, brother. Consider yourself dethroned."

And then suddenly she transformed, becoming human and gripping the still goosish Gosami by his long neck tightly with an almost bored expression. He honked and struggled in panic, but seemed unable to break free. And then, like she was discarding a piece of trash, she flung him across the room and into the stone wall, where he slumped to the ground, bleeding.

"Wh…H-How did you do that?!"

She dropped them in shock. Crack. There they went again. Akira didn’t seem to notice, just staring at Gosami with shock and mild terror.

"Oh my, please be more careful!" Gosami curves his neck down further and delicately picks the glasses up in his beak. Once more the cracked lenses repair themselves, and he extends his neck to hold the eyewear out towards its owner.

"Uhm... Excuse me... Gosami-san? Would you happen to know where I could find a black light... Or something...?

"A black light…? How can a light be black? I’ve never heard of such a spell.”

Er, pardon? Goose-san? I seem to have, um. My glasses have suffered some damage. Do you know where I may find replacements?

"Oh my goodness! You poor gosling, this won’t do at all. Just a moment…" Gosami lowers his head and taps the tip of his beak lightly on the glasses. The crack in them seals up with a little sparkle. All fixed! 

"There you are dear, good as new!"
