Began this morning with Psalm 1, and there are usually Psalms that I keep really close to my heart and mind, although Psalm 1 wasn't one of them; tbh I feel stuck, not quite sure what to do about school/work, personally and many times spiritually.
But Psalm 1:2-3, most specifically v.3 where it says 'that yields its fruit in its season', it is normal to feel "behind" in life, it's normal to feel like we have yet not accomplished anything. Personally I do recognize that in some areas I might have "advanced" more in life in comparison to my peers, but in so many more I feel behind, and this is a normal feeling! And for a long time I've heard the phrase "God's timing is perfect" which it is, but it is very easy to just know about something and believe it, and this verse has been very encouraging.
But we shouldn't forget about v.2 where it says 'his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night', we cannoit expect good things in life while we are not dwelling in the Word of God, we cannot expect God to answer our "prayers" when all we pray about are selfish desires or even if we pray for "good" things but don't have a relationship with Him, it is important to remeber that prayer is the way we communicate with God and Scripture the way He speaks to us.
