Look who I found at Outspokin's Tue night swim😁!! A lil Free, a lil Back, a lil Fly, 25s, kick sets and a whole lotta Awesome!🏊‍♀️ I ❤ Outspokin and SPM so much! I couldn't ask for more awesome people to swim with and both teams have been my lifeline at different times in the past few years. So stoked to see fellow SPM'ER Karen tonight and with Thanksgiving upon us, I am counting my blessings to get to train with both Outspokin and St Pete Masters. Without both teams, I def wouldn't be the swimmer I am today. Nor would I know anything about cycling🚴‍♀️! As we all stuff our faces on Thursday, let's remember to be thankful. I've had a rough few weeks with jobs, car issues and illness. But I have so much to be grateful for! I love my teams and I freaking love being a swimmer (even I'm out of shape right now and it hurts lol)! That's a wrap for the Dog Days LCM swim meet in Clearwater! To be honest, it was a super weird meet for me. For whatever reason, my backstroke felt super off yet my freestyle felt strong. Those of you who swim with me know about my mishaps with the 100 Free. Something always goes wrong for me in it, but today I killed it and actually broke my PR in that event for the first time in 2 years! So stoked! Keith swam his first ever swim meet and he now gets the official title of Competitive Pool Swimmer! I loved swimming with my fabulous team and getting to see all my friends from all over and just swimming together. I take a video of my strokes twice a year to see how my strokes look! I can't even believe the improvement I've made in both my freestyle and backstroke technique just over the past 6 months! Keep in mind, I did not grow up on a swim team! I started competing in swimming only a few years ago! If I can make such drastic improvement, so can you! Get help when you can, try new things and always be looking for new ways to improve your stroke so you can get faster.
